Frankly Speaking English is a YouTube channel run by Frank, an ESL teacher based in Southeast Asia. The channel helps English learners – beginners and advanced level – to learn grammar, vocabulary, and general culture through Simple English explanations and simple visuals, relying on comprehensive input to quickly establish meaning. The channel is a passion project to provide quality, and entertaining educational content for anyone who wants to improve their communication skills.
I believe that English shouldn’t be a luxury for the few who can afford an experienced teacher. In many parts of the world, it’s a vital tool for kids who deserve a fair shot at a better life. By bridging the language gap, we’re opening doors to a future that might otherwise stay closed.
“Hi! I’m Frank! I’m a bilingual English-Spanish speaker. I was raised and educated in the United States and have taught English as a Second Language is both Spain and Vietnam. My experience moving to and adapting to life in four continents – North America, South America, Europe, and Asia – has taught me invaluable skills and lessons about the importance of cultural fluency in today’s connected world.
I have worked with students of all ages, and have helped to prepare students for Cambridge Exams like the IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE, YLEs, as well as the TOEFL exam. I have taught Business English skills to professionals at major multinationals from various industries like Leica Biosystems, Catalana Occident, Digital Legends, Rakuten Spain, Mobifone Vietnam, and Eurowindow, among others. I have also had the pleasure of giving language lessons as part of government initiatives in Barcelona with Mejora Continua. As a high school ESL teacher in Vietnam, I have helped develop the curriculum that is taught as part of a program to give students skills in communication, as well as developing an AI-driven ESL program.”
